This website (“Site”) is provided and controlled by ShipIn Systems, Inc. (“ShipIn”, “we” or “our”). ShipIn provides access to a proprietary fleet management tool (the “Application”) for our ship owner and seafarer clients (“Ship Owner”), which we promote through our website located at www.shipin.ai (the “Site”). We will refer to the Site and the Application collectively as our “Services.” This Privacy Notice describes how we collect, use and disclose the information we collect about you when you interact with our Services. We are committed to be transparent about the data we collect about you, how it is used and with whom it is shared. This Privacy Notice also explains your choices and rights have regarding your personal information. By using our Services, you agree to be bound by this Privacy Notice and consent to our processing of information as specified therein.
1. What Information We Collect and How We Collect it | Information You Provide Directly Personal Information: When you contact us through our Site, including through our “Book a Demo” form on the Site, or send us an email, we will collect your full name, email address, and any other information you voluntarily provide us in the content of your message in order to respond to your communication. Authorized Users: In order to access our Application, you will need to create an account, or have one created for you by ShipIn. To create an account, you will need to provide personal data including your name, email address, mailing address, phone number, and a password. If you decline to provide this information, we will not be able to provide you with access to the Application.
Payment Information: ShipIn does not collect credit card or bank account information from its users. Our Application is made available to Authorized Users through an agreement between ShipIn and the Ship Owner and requires payment of certain fees (“Fees”). These Fees are currently processed offline but our Services may provide Fee payment functionality in the future. In all cases, ShipIn processes credit card transactions through a third-party payment processor who will encrypt payment information through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (“PCI-DSS”). Fee payment information is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction. We will process all charges automatically through Stripe. All fees and charges are nonrefundable. We may change the fees and charges then in effect, or add new fees or charges, by giving you notice in advance. All fees and charges are nonrefundable, except in instances where we are unable or unwilling to provide the requested services. Information Provided by Ship Owners: in order to identify Authorized Users and provide them with access to the Application, Ship Owners may provide ShipIn with the information identified under “Authorized Users” instead of the Authorized User providing it to ShipIn directly. Information Automatically Collected Through Your Use of the Services We may automatically collect non-personally identifiable information about you—such as an IP address, device type, device ID, Internet service provider, general location information, page views, a date/time stamp, browser type, referring/exit URLs, search terms used on our Site, operating system, and similar device and usage information— when you use our Services. Our service providers only access, process or store your information in order to perform their duties to us. Business Transactions: we may share your information in connection with a corporate merger, consolidation, restructuring, sale of certain of our ownership interests, assets, or both, or other corporate change, including without limitation, during the course of any due diligence process. However, no method of Internet transmission is completely secure and we cannot guarantee its absolute security. You are responsible for using a strong password and keeping it confidential. You agree not to share your account login information with others or transfer any part of your account. You understand and agree that you are responsible for anything that happens through your account unless you close it or report misuse. We urge you to use a unique password for your account for our Services, to keep your password in a safe place and not to divulge it to anyone.
